Biography
Aruna Upul, known as DJ Ultra, is a prominent DJ and producer from Sri Lanka, renowned for his versatility in the techno and minimal genres. Beginning his career in 2002 as a mobile DJ, he quickly rose to become a resident DJ at top Colombo venues like Mix Bar and the Library Club. In 2010, Ultra shifted his focus to techno and minimal music, gaining a strong following with over 1000 DJ bookings. He has performed alongside global artists like Mark Knight, Nick Warren, and Guy Mantzur, and regularly appears at major events such as Fantasia and Area Mirissa. In 2015, Ultra launched his own label, Detroit Connection, dedicated to underground music.
